Make a short from a video

What it does

A finished short from a stretch of a longer recording (a podcast, a webinar, a talk), its video or its audio alone, from the draft Plan the cutaways lays out: the speaker upright, or from audio a picture the whole way through, captions from what is said, the hook it opens on, and the cutaways on its key points made, then drawn into one video. A cutaway left empty shows the speaker. To change a finished short, run it again on its draft with the change made: cutaways already made are kept and not charged again.

What it takes

• Up to three images to follow, such as a person, a product, a place or a look to keep; the prompt says what to keep from them. An image drawn before can be given by its job.

What you get

• Captions: Every caption as it is shown, from when it shows until it goes, as an SRT file. None when the video has no captions
