Scrub

Terms

The terms of using Scrub, a service of Scrub.app Ltd, registered in Scotland, company number SC886655.

The service

Scrub does work you or your AI ask for, at a price shown before each job runs. Scrub works to keep running and to get the work right, but cannot promise it never stops or never makes a mistake, so check what it makes before you rely on it. A job that does not finish is not charged. A tool that stops part way keeps the steps it finished and charges nothing.

Your files and what Scrub makes

Your files are yours. You are responsible for having the right to upload them and to have the work done. Scrub keeps them only to do the work and to let you fetch the result, for 90 days, and uses them for nothing else. Scrub claims no rights in what it makes for you.

The images, music, voices and scripts Scrub makes are made by AI. Say so wherever the law or the place you publish them asks. Do not use Scrub to make anything unlawful, or a voice or picture that passes for a real person without their consent.

Paying

Each workspace is on one of these plans. Prices are in US dollars, and payments are taken by Stripe.

  • Scrub Pay as you Go. $5 of work to start, given once, then pay as you go: add credit, and each job takes its price from it. Credit does not expire.
  • Scrub Pro. $20 a month for $25 of work.
  • Scrub Max. $100 a month for $140 of work.

On a paid plan, work costs what it costs paying as you go; the plan buys more of it for its money. Credit added on a paid plan buys work at the plan's rate. A workspace whose paid plan ends is on Scrub Pay as you Go again.

Plans

  • Renewal. A plan renews every month on the day it started, and Stripe charges your card for it until you end it.
  • The month's work. Each month brings its work, used before any credit. What is left when the month ends does not carry over; the next month brings its own.
  • Past the month. Additional usage starts off: once the month's work is used, a job is refused and not charged. Turn it on in Account and your credit pays for work past the month at pay-as-you-go prices.
  • Ending a plan. Manage the plan, in Account, opens Stripe's billing page, where you end it. It ends when the month you paid for ends, with nothing more to pay, and that month's work stays until then.
  • Changing plan. The new plan starts at once and the old one ends. The work left from the old plan's month stays until that month would have ended.
  • A payment that fails. The month already paid for stays. The next month's work arrives once its payment goes through.

Refunds

  • Within 14 days of any payment, for credit or for a plan, ask and you get it back, less the work already done with it.
  • After that, ask about a refund of unused credit and it will be sorted out. A plan's month is not refunded once those 14 days have passed; ending the plan stops the next payment.
  • A card payment that is refunded or disputed takes its credit back with it.

Prices

Prices may change. A change never applies to a job already quoted. A new price for a plan applies to people who start it afterwards; what you pay for a plan you are on changes only after an email telling you, at least 30 days before.

Your account

One person, one sign-in. Keep your API keys to yourself: work run with them is charged to your workspace. You can revoke any key and disconnect any AI from your account page, and sign out ends the session in that browser. Scrub can stop an account used against the law or these terms.

Your rights

Nothing here takes away your rights under the law, including your rights as a consumer. Beyond those, and anything else the law does not allow to be limited, Scrub's liability to you is limited to what you paid Scrub in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

When these terms change, this page says so and its date changes. A change that affects a plan you pay for is emailed to you before it applies. Questions to hello@scrub.app.
